The curriculum of any school is all that takes place in the school, not only the content of the formal lessons.
At Emmanuel Christian School, Leicester, the curriculum conforms to Biblical principles. This affects what is taught and, importantly, how it is taught. The background to good learning has to be an environment in which the child is secure and loved. A variety of appropriate teaching strategies is used to match learning tasks to the age, aptitude and ability of the individual child.
Jesus Christ is the sum total of knowledge and wisdom (1 Corinthians 1:24, 30). Aspects of God's nature and wisdom are therefore revealed in the subjects taught.
